ALLISON DAMPIER, M.A. and Ph.D Candidate
(School Director/Co-Founder)
Allison Dampier has a diverse educational background helping her design academic programs for Advantages Online Private School students and provides guidance in her role as School Director. Her role puts her in direct communication with parents and teachers on a daily basis.
Dampier holds a Master of Education from University of LaVerne with an emphasis in reading and language arts and an undergraduate degree in organizational communication. She is a Ph. D student at Northcentral University.
Dampier, who spent more than a decade teaching in “brick and mortar” classrooms, received certification as a reading specialist and holds a multiple subject teaching credential (CLAD). Dampier served as an associate faculty member for National University. In that role, she wrote online curriculum and served as a placement specialist and advisor for student teachers.
Dampier believes in a high-energy, enthusiastic approach to learning. She and her colleagues founded Advantages Online Private School in 2007. After seeing budgets and course offerings cut in public schools, they wanted to “level the playing field” and give students the opportunity of diverse course offerings with individualized attention.
